Unfortunately, my experience with the office staff was overwhelmingly negative.
The atmosphere in the office was hostile and cliquey. The management team seemed to have an air of superiority and made it clear they looked down on the care staff. Professionalism was completely lacking; I personally witnessed office staff laughing and passing around photos of a care professional who had called in sick, ( a victim of DA) mocking the bruises on her face. This behavior was degrading and showed a complete lack of respect for the staff member. I left shortly after this.
In terms of management, they had no respect for work-life balance. They would regularly ring as early as 6 am to demand you cover shifts. If you agreed to help out 'just this once,' they would permanently pencil you in for that slot without further discussion. If you ever had to refuse a shift, they would swear at you over the phone.
It is a shame because the clients themselves deserve better, but the office culture is toxic. I would advise anyone considering a care role here to think twice about the support (or lack thereof) you will receive from the office."
I believe the 2 toxic employees are still working there, and from what I have heard, it's still a toxic workplace.
