Pros

If you have good availability, you have work. This is good work for those who have open availability seven days a week. Or who are able to jump up last minute to take work.

Cons

They do not get the client help if there is a problem. Communication isn't clear whatsoever. They take their mistakes out on the caregiver. Not enough notice between shifts. If their is a problem within the home, they ignore it. No one comes out for inspections. They have no idea where they are sending you, when it comes down to living conditions. No advancement. They call you early in the morning or late at night for last minute fill-ins. If you do not take the shift on your day off, they make you feel guilty and say you are "denying" shifts. I would NOT reccomend this company whatsoever. You are better off working in an Assisted Living Facility or a hospital.

Pros

Good care provided to the clients. Co-workers were wonderful to work with. Everyone pitched in where they could, when they could.

Cons

Salary was NOT commensurate with the amount of work you were expected to do, regardless of experience. Management tended to micro-manage. It was their way or you were out the door. There was no room for fresh ideas. They definitely had their favorite employees and they showed it.

Pros

Employment at this company offers one the ability to apply your talents and skills for the betterment of a large spectrum of deserving individuals. In most cases, an enhanced understanding of life and its challenges at later stages of the human experience are gleaned while providing needed care. One obtains valuable lessons while receiving fulfillment from assisting others; a win, win situation.

Cons

One cannot count on a sophisticated level of management. Due to the lack of supervisors, it's difficult to understand how the owners can feel comfortable with the quality of care being provided. Caregivers are usually dependent upon their own sense of dedication, skill levels and ingrained high self motivation to successfully operate under this condition.
