Pros

Pay package was good but this was due to the revolving door at senior levels

Cons

There is a complete lack of ethics in the organisation starting from the very top. For example, the CEO had a helipad in the car park and another at his home. Every morning he would have both a helicopter and his company chauffeur driven car set out from his house and wait at the office until he left so that he could choose which form of transport he would take at any point in time. Let me be clear, he had BOTH a company helicopter AND a company chauffeur driven car make the round trip from his home to the office every single day. Putting aside the enormous environmental impact there is still the huge financial cost. A helicopter? Really? It speaks to me of a very fragile ego. The there is the issue of high pressure and misleading sales tactics. During my time with the company they voluntarily had a ban on all new sales of their primary product, insurance to cover accidental damage to the water supply line from the curb outside your home to the outside of the building. They rushed in this voluntary ban before the regulator could put their own ban in place. In order to keep a revenue stream in place they obtained an outsourcing contract selling extended warranties for power showers using high pressure sales tactics on OAPs, such as, "well, if you can't afford £120 a year could you do £10 per month?"

Thank you for your honest review. I hope that as well as leaving a review here you have been able to talk to your manager about your concerns. Or come to me, I’d be happy to chat with you. It’s really important to us, particularly in the current circumstances that our People are being open about how they are feeling. We know we are facing an extremely challenging time, especially on our frontline and in the field. We’ve hired just under 200 new people for teams across our contact centres. And we’re recruiting for engineers too. We should start to see the benefit in our service levels soon. We have lots of escalation routes for our vulnerable customers, if you feel that we are letting a customer down then please let your manager know or email Customer First. Jon Saul Head of Claims
