Pros

The company has the needs of its people and its customers at heart. There have been so many improvements over the last few years, but we can now look forward to some major new systems which should make our jobs easier, and make the service better for customers. Also a great working environment. It feels like the most exciting times are ahead of us and we can get even better on all fronts.

Cons

Some difficult decisions have been made recently in order to help the business and the people in it to grow.

Pros

Constant change and lots of great projects to get involved in. The people who work hard, get stuff done, keep positive and drive change succeed here. I’m four years in doing a job I would never have dreamed I would get and every day is different. We really look after everyone. We genuinely whole heartedly care for our Customers.

Cons

The change and challenge is relentless, which some people don’t excel or cope well in. Those people can be blockers or slow things down. But it’s good to see that the Exec seem better at spotting this and acting on it now. The catering provision, toilets and general environment in Walsall needs investment its tired, the cleaners, catering staff and facilities team do an amazing job but we need to spend money on upgrades.

Pros

HomeServe is a great place to work - the culture really is very people focused. The company looks after its people, and as a result our People look after our Customers. The senior management team really promote our Customer and our People Promises - more so than any other company I have worked for. You can really see how the work you are doing contributes to achieving the company's goals. There's always new ideas and you can get involved in a variety of projects which means that there is always a lot to do! There's lots of opportunities to develop your career across a variety of departments and this allows you to learn new skills.

Cons

The company is going through a prolonged period of change and this won't suit everyone. If you're someone who likes the status quo where every day is the same, HomeServe is not for you. The organisation is always seeking growth opportunities and this makes it very exciting - but it does mean that things don't stand still. You need to keep up with the pace of the organisation.
