Pros

Great atmosphere and you can really feel the cultural change. Having worked at HomeServe for over 7 years I have been through some bad times, but the company has been turned around and now has a truly bright future. Salary is reasonable, hours are OK.

Cons

Some work still needs to be done on internal processes to cut through some of the red tape, but this is a hangover from our low risk appetite and I don't expect many companies are completely streamlined.

Pros

It is a great company to work for with strong values that appreciates both employees and customers. It works really hard at employee and family engagement and there is fantastic participation at all levels All staff are clear on the business objectives and the part they have to play in achieving them Communication to employees of business performance against objectives is good with regular updates. Staff are recognised on a regular basis They are making ongoing efforts to improve the customer and employee experience There are real opportunities for staff to progress and I have personal experience of this after only a very short time with the business Some functions allow a degree of flexibiity in working hours There is incredible access for staff at all levels to board directors

Cons

There are some inefficient working processes often resulting in time and effort being wasted across the business As a company that has grown incredibly quickly there are some basic things missing that you would expect a large company to have in place eg consistent and transparent job grading across functions
