Pros

Homebase is full of the most amazing people I have worked with in my career. Everyone is so lovely and just really interesting and smart. The organization is mission-driven so the work we are doing has a purpose. I was lucky enough to be promoted at Homebase reasonably quickly, showing how they are willing to recognize and reward hard work, dedication and talent. The executive team is extremely accessible. They are busy people but more than willing to have conversations with team members of all levels. They care about Homebase and the people who work here which is rare to find.

Cons

Things are not perfect. We have some growing pains as we scale. The benefits could be better, compensation could be more competitive. We need more structure and processes in many departments. We experience some burnout, which is typical at this start-up level. But, when you need time off, you can take it and fully disconnect and someone will cover you.

Pros

- Company's mission is focused on people and helping small businesses grow. - Top performers can pivot into roles by networking within the company. Getting in where you fit in is easy if the timing is right. - Everyone is an owner! Homebase offers equity to all employees. - Great medical, dental, and vision insurance + other perks. - Our CEO and executives offer transparency regarding funding, future runway, and success of Homebase. - Bi-annual performance reviews and opportunities for pay increases once per year - Dedicated to initiatives focused on DEI and keeping the teams connected via virtual & in-person events, happy hours, and offsites.

Cons

- Homebase moves fast and has opportunities to implement more structure. You have to have the ability to problem solve on your own and work with ambiguity to thrive here. - CX leadership and some executives are out of touch with their frontline worker's lifestyles and livelihoods. We must remember why we are building a tool to make work easier for hourly employees. We have many opportunities to look in the mirror and ensure we are supporting our hourly workers to thrive. - Homebase is not a remote-first company. If you are looking for remote positions, Homebase is not for you. - Salaries are average or slightly below market, but leadership offers transparency about their benchmarking philosophies, and top performers are rewarded.

Pros

When you work at Homebase, you basically gain a second family. Everyone is unique and brings something different to the table to make it one of the best work experiences I've ever had. Aside from a great team a few other perks are : - Office Space - SNACKS - Team Outings - Catered lunches once a week - Weekly team meetings - Exceptional support from management and the Homebase team. - You will get to wear many hats working at Homebase.

Cons

Keep in mind this is a startup and things change ALL THE TIME. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it is something to consider if you don't do well in those types of situations. There really are no other cons!
