- Great CEO & COO - Mission driven - Leadership trusts its employees to solve problems - Little/no micromanagement from leadership - Long-term thinking - Customer-centric - Great company culture (I made a ton of close friends!)

Cons

- More demanding/challenging than other SF startups. Not the right place for someone looking to work 30-40h week. Expect 40-50h or more in senior positions. But with hard work comes high rewards...

Great culture: supportive team members from all levels and job functions that starts with the exec team. Data-Driven: Data is integrated throughout the company, and drives decision making throughout. Leadership: Execs are very knowledgeable, and all share the same sincere vision to help small businesses, while also staying focused on making Homebase a success. Company Health: Minimal layoffs during a tumultuous period for tech is a great indicator of how well managed the company is.

Pros

Although all engineers work primarily remotely we have a great culture of always helping each other out. Even though we work on different teams we all have a sense of being part of one united engineering org. This is one of the best engineering orgs I've ever worked at.

Cons

This is typical for most tech companies but the tension between what product teams want built and what engineering needs to do to continue to maintain the platform is mostly add odds. This can get exhausting.
