Pros

The drinks in the Coke machine are free. The monthly birthday cake is delicious.

Cons

Company is in crisis mode with no true leadership. Cutting salaries/positions and even demoting managers to make EBITA, quotas are imaginary and unattainable based on current technology offerings. Constant reorgs/restructuring, no opportunity for growth within company, upper management is nowhere to be found (they all work remote) with no accountability. The morale/corporate culture is non-existent.

Horizon Software is a culture that empowers its employees to communicate openly, and senior leadership has an open-door policy. There have been no salary cuts and in fact promotions occur regularly. Hard working, committed employees have many opportunities to grow and move up and can openly discuss performance with management through the DREAM checks reviews. Horizon provides many employee engagement opportunities including giving employee 3 paid days a year to give back to their communities through service, Wellness benefits to encourage healthy living, and paid family leave benefits.

I worked at this company for a few years, thinking that this would be a good place to start to get your foot in the door. But it turned out to be a horrible experience. I eventually quit this place and went to another company for a lesser pay. If it wasn't for my manager and my team, (all of us who are no longer with this company) I'd have quit even sooner. There was no real promotions / pay raises except for the upper management. I went with 3 years of near perfect annual review without seeing any pay increment.

Pros

None beyond some travel the customer interactions were great after they vented.

Cons

No real structure. Low pay. Lack of integrity.
