Pros

Frequent bonuses for things like handwashing and patient satisfaction **Depends on managemen/unit** - Great teamwork from staff and management steps in on floor if staffing is dire Lots of attention given to staff concerns on things Work is usually balanced day to day - Have only been tripled in the ICU once in the past year Decent pay for community hospital

Cons

**Depends on unit/mgmt** - self-scheduling but there can be changes and sometimes management will slot you against requests. PTO is easy to accumulate but difficult to request and be granted Hard to move around the same hospital to different positions (easier to move between hospitals in the system)

Decent pay raises each year. Education resources available. Able to get involved in programs to help improve patient outcomes.

Cons

Managment plays favorites. Lack of accountability. Seems like it is a popularity contest instead of a workplace. Horrible Insurance plans.
