Pros

Remote work, That's really it, literally

Cons

Everything else, the pay is terrible, the training horrible, They overwhelm u with so much unnecessary information that you will never use nor remember, they train u every month for a new position, Which are really other careers, like Claims, Medical Coding, but don't raise your pay according to the standards for those positions, instead u get offered a 50c to $1 raise added to ur salary. I've never been so overwhelmed at a job in my entire life Ever! Do not work here, trust me I'm helping u, I'm currently applying to other companies and am leaving asap, been here for 9months, and it only gets worst, the agents hate humana and the elderly member hate humana. The systems they use are confusing and out dated, u use around 7 damn programs for work, some freeze at times, and there all confusing

Pros

Good pay and benefits package.

Cons

Humana hires lots of nurses and when the market turns down, it fires a lot of nurses. This cycle repeats AT LEAST once a year. The criteria for the continual reductions in force are completely opaque and seemingly arbitrary. Management uses double-speak to placate the folks who were spared the mass lay-offs and don't include the feedback of direct-facing nurses in any meaningful way to try to meet the needs of the customer and the $$-hungry board. While Humana makes a big show about how much it supposedly cares about its employees, it's a company that regards its employees as highly expendable resources. This is literally a job that will have you constantly worrying about when you will be laid off...because eventually...you will.

Pros

the pay & benefits but they got rid of a lot of us and took on newbies and paid them way less

Cons

Do not sacrifice your family life for these users. They won't look at your years of loyalty and production and treat you right when they decide they need to trim staff. They don't value good or loyal employees. They treated employees terribly when they are trying to get rid of them, no matter if they are top producers. They will cut your call volume and then use that to write you up that you have very little production. If you're getting killed with calls while you sit and watch other top producers sitting idly by and you dare to speak up on their behalf, then you become the next target and they don't stop until they eliminate. Not a good environment
