Pros

Work from home, supportive front line leaders and managers, in 25 years of nursing Humana has given me one of the best opportunities to have the ability to make a difference with people, especially the senior population. They care about their members health and well being, from physical to mental well being-and as a nurse that means so much to me. I make as much in salary as I did in a former executive position and could NOT be happier. I have been with Humana 3 years and will never leave. Pay is more than competitive for the job, 23 days of PTO plus 6 holidays (what nurse gets Thanksgiving AND the day after?) -Humana is truly the best job I've ever had and it's been years since I have felt like I've made a difference for the people I work with like I do now-I love seniors and I love my job!

Cons

I am worried about a possible sale-but hopefully things will work out best for all. There is a high deductible for insurance-however the premiums are low-preventive health is covered and Humana does a lot to promote their associates' well being. They even give us time off to walk, work out etc during the day.

Pros

Good benefits and pays ok.

Cons

Constant watching over employees like children. It's almost like spying. Better not leave one minute prior to your work hours are over. Very punitive environment and culture.

Pros

HR was nice. Manager didnt know what she was doing. Was very inconsistent with her responses and did not assume responsibility for her word.

Cons

Firstly, I would like to say that my entire process after the interview was a nightmare. Once I got offered the job, I would get harassed by at least 2 people calling me every day and other people emailing me about the job. And the emails were useless, not ever indicating what to expect on my first day. My manager, who interviewed me, told me specifically that she did not mind me working from another state for this work at home job. Then 2 days later HR calls me to tell me they cant offer me the job. Mind you, at this point I had already traveled to another state in order to complete my one week training. So, due to the manager's stupidity, I didn't have my old or new job.... Had she just been honest with me from the get go and didn't make HR do her dirty work, everything would have been fine. I would never work for Humana, because clearly, no one speaks to each other and you will end up talking to 10 different people who will all give you different answers.
