Pros

Some wonderful people in the general workforce. Challenging career, great educational reimbursement, flexible schedule. There are some very excellent workers there but it is overshadowed by poor middle management, and HR staff.

Cons

Middle management is allowed to openly disrespect their employees, it is okay for managers and supervisors to sit in meetings and openly discuss inappropriate topics at work, go out to bars and belittle their employees in front of other employees and upper management ignores it all. Beware if your over 40 Humana has a long history of doing cuts during Sept and Dec for the over 40 crowd who are paid well. They do this during this time so that they can report less debt to their stock holders in year ending numbers. Far to many excellent employees who were considered subject matter experts where suddenly told they were terrible employees put on CCIP one month and gone the next with no coaching or guidance. They were basically set up to fail. Humana considers human beings administrative reductions nothing more. Teams are run like high school cliches if your supervisor does not like you then your going nowhere and eventually you will be fired regardless of your work quality. HR is even worse in GB they openly are friends with supervisors on FB and discuss personal opinions with supervisors at their desk for others to hear. Managers are allowed to openly publish threats on FB like mess with me and I will open a whole lot of ?!?!? on you and your family. This reflects extremely poor on a corporation overall. The term if you don't like it there's the door was said often to personnel who complained of to much work or stress. or Be thankful you have a job there are 50 people I can replace you with tomorrow was another favorite said to those that did not want to continue with the mandatory 10 hours of overtime for the 8 week in a row. Favoritism was huge some Specialist had 20 cases while others had 60 plus it all depended on if the manager or supervisor liked you or not. A lot of back stabbing and hurting others to climb the corporate ladder happens CYB was said on a daily basis.

Pros

Excellent and loyal employees, very hard working worker bees. I worked to gain valuable experience which I recieved.

Cons

Worse management team I've ever worked with in 20 years. Little to no recognition for employees, interested in profits and CYA. Always threatened by employees who are more educated and knowledgable.

Pros

some good coworkers -- the worker bees

Cons

Management sucks. They don't know their head from a hole in the ground. They overwork and under appreciate their employees. Also, they are frightened of people that know just as much of them. They are cowards.
