Pros

It didn't feel like a constant competition to get ahead of each other. No corporate ladder fighting. The goal was to help animals, and I always felt like a part of a team working towards a common mission. It's one of the most non-toxic work environments I've ever experienced. Everyone was incredibly inclusive and kind.

Cons

While it's nice that the focus isn't climbing the corporate ladder, it is hard to move up. The promotions are sparse and don't seem to hold a lot of weight.
