Pros
Very good sight line to upper level management. You get experience working in the middle office getting to see the nitty gritty of the business side of things while also getting the opportunity to be client facing if you wish. A very hybrid role.
Cons
You have to learn a lot on the fly. They will put you on projects where you have no experience and expect you to be able to figure things out on your own without training. Lots of tasks assigned will need to be redone or reworked after completion due to changing expectations and asks.
