      Pros

      Somewhat reasonable on schecule. Your peers and people you work with are very nice. Most customers are a joy to serve.

      Cons

      Managment always knows best. If your last name is not the same as a store director or of someone at the corporate level don't expect to move up very fast. If you make managment level be prepared to work extremely long hours without a "thank you" because this is what is expected of you.

      Pros

      Hy-Vee has a decent benefits package and a very flexible schedule when it comes to time off. The variety of work keeps things interesting.

      Cons

      The pay is horrible unless you are a store director. Hourly employees are treated as an expendable resource and are handled by management accordingly. Don't want to work till Mid-Night then have to be back in the store at 7am then this is not the place for you

      Pros

      The flexible hours were very nice. You just needed to request time off two week beforehand. Also extra pay on Sundays.

      Cons

      I felt like I was going nowhere fast. There was a lot of disrespect and messing around in the front of the store.
