Pros

You can count on your paycheck being deposited into your bank account in a timely fashion every payday. If not, HR usually works quickly to fix the issue.

Cons

My employment started out well- the company initially seemed to back up their claims of caring about employees and their overall wellbeing. Then the importance of profits started overshadowing all else. Hyland did not make smart business decisions during the pandemic. They continued acquiring businesses and did not adequately adjust for interest rate hikes. They ultimately decided to lay off 20% of the work force after continuously praising our work and telling us how well we were doing throughout the pandemic and the end of 2022. Then we reached February 2023 and suddenly it was like the sky was falling. Hyland has a problem with honesty and transparency. Additionally, Hyland likes to say they make up for their over all low rate of pay with other perks and benefits. This is not true. The only health insurance they offer are High Deductible Health Plans. The premiums and deductibles increased for 2023, cutting into take home pay. If you happen to work out of their headquarters location, there are a few more perks available to you - like onsite childcare, salon and medical appointments to name a few. But if you are working out of other locations you do not get any of those perks. They offer a wellness reimbursement program, but you have to be able to afford to pay upfront and then wait to be reimbursed. Again, their pay is below average so I found it difficult to take advantage of that program. If you have any substantial bills to pay, I would not recommend Hyland. However, if you just need some cash it may be worth a shot.

Pros

Big Company, good benefits, cheap cost of living

Cons

You are in cleveland, If you aren't working on the most important projects you will get laid off. In April 2023 they laid off 20% of the company. Including people that have worked here for decades.

Pros

The friendly people at Hyland continue to be the main reason I stay.

Cons

Hyland's healthcare products lack high level product direction. The individual contributors are working hard with what they have but the directors and above take a long time to make decisions on even small things.
