Pros

Marginal career growth. Free M&Ms and coffee. An okay diner that’s convenient because it’s in the building, otherwise the food is mediocre and prices way too high. People are generally nice and pleasant to work with.

Cons

Lousy pay (about 50-60% below industry standard to be more specific). There is no clear path for advancement. Scratch that, there isn’t really a path at all, they are constantly re-organizing to get around promoting people (despite bragging of making record profits every year)

I learned alot in my time at Hyland. Knowledge that was vastly "poo-poo'ed" internally by management too hung up on how amazing they were to be shown up. That talent is now appreciated elsewhere. Once upon a time there was amazing work/life balance, a culture where we really did feel like family.

Cons

The favoritism and nepotism is nauseating. Sub middle management is so full of themself and how they look to upper management they can't see past their own nose. Something changed end of 2016 and a lot of long term employees left. It's sad because the knowledge, the passion combined with a history of the ins and outs is gone and nobody seemed to give a da#@.

Sacrifice salary for free meals, drinks and souvenirs. Very distracting environment. Lots of shadiness going on like managers who know how to bend the rules for those on their favorites list. If you don't drink the kool aid you're out
