Great Place To Start

Pros

The culture here is great for me, as it is my first job out of college. They really promote learning, and have a great system in place to start slowly and work your way up to bigger projects. The perks are amazing as well, and the facility is top notch.

Cons

Some decisions by upper management are not clearly articulated to development teams. It seems at times that all teams are confused on the overall direction of the company.

Great Place to Work

Pros

Flexibility, Work-life balance, Work Environment, Appreciation, Compensation, Acknowledgement - the list could go on

Cons

The ability to move up can be difficult as promotions seem to be length of service based as opposed to being based on qualifications or ability to successfully do the job. Most people who i have talked to that are unhappy with the culture and benefits here have not worked elsewhere and do not realize what they have here until they are gone. Thats why so many come back.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. I’d encourage you to talk to your leaders and HR Business Partner about the promotion process if your experience has not been positive. While some perks may change along with our constant growth, reducing the perks we provide is certainly not the intention. We listen to the feedback from Hylanders on the things they value the most, so please feel free to share additional feedback through eNPS. You can also find a save-the-date page on the HR portal with 30 different small and large scale employee appreciation events throughout the year, and follow the corporate calendar on the HUB for many other programs offered.

Pros

Hyland provides chairs to sit on and new PCs for developers once every 7-10 years or if they break down beyond the point they can be repaired. Hyland actively recruits, promotes, and focuses support on college graduates and those still in college, relying on them to craft much of their software. This all but guarantees the utmost quality of the software and greatly lessens the likelihood of glaring architectural oversights that might have been made by more experienced developers.

Cons

The only thing worse than the abysmal pay, lack of raises, lack of advancement opportunities, declining perks, perpetual reorganization, bi-annual HR requests to fill out a "best place to work" survey, obviously fake, HR-planted glassdoor reviews for damage control, and rudderless senior management ... is the embarrassment I feel each day knowing that I still work here and haven't already moved on.
