Pros

* Challenging customer support role for the people who enjoy working on resolving critical issues.

Cons

* Hyland named to Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For is a shame and a lie who could not handle an office setup in Hyderabad Location. * Recruited a new team of 60 members and closed the entire office within 3 months of operation with a reason "due to change and prevalent market conditions, it is not economically viable for Hyland India to run its Hyderabad office". * This is a black mark in everyone's career due to improper management planning and greedy CEO who only cared for money. * Resources worked there heart out as the setup was new. Got a greeting by receiving a post saying "The office is shut down". * Managers and HR are puppets and just do what higher management ask them to , without proper reasoning.

Pros

You're all in the same ship, and this relatability lends itself to making easy friends with your peers. Perks exist that can be used. Some places have big windows to see outside. PTO is pretty good. The offices usually do not feel cramped and the location is pretty respectable. You have time to learn skills that you want to learn and hopefully apply to your job. I've personally never felt pressured to be at work longer than I need to be.

Cons

At every turn you'll be asking yourself "where did I go wrong?". Compensation, promotions, bonuses, even your placement on teams that appear out of no where and are dissolved just as quickly. You'll look around at your peers in broken states, sitting in holding patterns waiting for an ounce of recognition and respect that you know they deserve but you will come to realize is non-existent. You'll get a feeling of resent toward different people and departments that you know is misplaced because of the "us versus them" mindset that management instills into you, even within your direct team. You'll find yourself arguing with people above you for what would seem like petty reasons to anyone on the outside just to try to scrape a tiny bit of control and self-respect that the company tries to beat out of you. You'll start to question every announcement, action, and initiative you hear about to find ways it's designed to hurt you and the people around you. Even when you receive something that resembles a decent raise, you'll look at it wondering who got shafted in exchange for it. Your co-workers will pass you up without anyone telling you why, and you'll leave people that you felt were essential to your success in the dust. There is no good feeling that can come to you when you're sitting at your desk. You'll become nihlistic and paranoid at the same time because you're being strung along on something that appears to be designed to make you feel less of yourself. This is the culture that exists at Hyland Software. The fading events and parties that make the county fair look like a rager are just distractions from this reality.
