Pros

Steady growth of company and market share. Employee satisfaction and overall quality of life is definitely a priority for Hyland.

Cons

The general hiring strategy is to find kids just out of college, pay them a little as possible, and then promote from within. This is great for young and motivated individuals as there is a ton of opportunity to grow and then eventually be properly rewarded for your effort. However, this approach has significant shortcomings whenever any form of industry experience is essential to a role that are being filled by internal candidates.

Pros

Not everyone has the negative experiences of some reviewers. It seems mostly negative people are most likely to post a review. Hyland has very strong values and they are embraced by everyone you encounter. The atmosphere is still "Work Hard, Play Hard" as it has been for many years. If you work hard, you can grow with the company. Lately, due to the company's success, even the pay has been improving. Not just annual raises, but people are getting raises after department compensation was re-evaluated. Very exciting times.

Cons

It's sad that we got rid of disposable cups, though I understand it'll save money and the environment. You may feel sometimes like you're paying for all the perks, even if you don't use them.

Pros

Most of the worker-bee people are friendly. You are all in the same ship after all.

Cons

I could copy and paste what has already been said about this company. Their core values are a joke, literally just writing on the wall now. They don't pay you what you are actually worth. High employee turnover, especially in tech support and QA. They'd rather replace than promote or give a raise. To say that nepotism runs rampant is an understatement. Management, middle and above regularly lie to their employees. Once the old CEO left (AJ) and the old CTO left (Miguel) things went seriously downhill and everyone could feel that the times of this being a cool, fun place to work was coming to an end. MANY of my old co-workers have jumped ship, and the ones that are still there are plotting their escape. I could go on an on, but nobody has that much time. If you need a job and somehow make it through their hiring process, don't plan to stay long as you will see for yourself.
