Pros

No dress code, the illusion of a team environment. Sure, everyone likes to mention the free candy and diet soda/coffee but unless this is your first job its hard to get excited about the fluff. And if you thrive under the constant threat of layoffs, this is the place for you.

Cons

No formal year-end performance review, low pay, incompetent management. Hard work is not rewarded as bonuses/promotions/raises are 100% subjective with no review session, goal-planning or feedback from management in Imaging Services. The current Team Leaders and our Senior Manager gossip about employees, lie to customers and contribute to an overall toxic environment with constant turnover. Opportunities may exist outside of the department, but you won't learn any new skills or receive coaching/mentoring here anymore that'll get you to where you want to be. Complain to HR and you're first on the list to be let go.

Pros

Doctor on site Volleyball Onsite daycare Onsite wellness center Happy hour during the middle of the day Random perks - dry cleaning discount You can apply for any job in the organization and no matter how unqualified, get it if the right people like you

Cons

Ineptitude at all levels No adherence to best practices Cult-like culture Most managers and C- level started working there out of college Hyland way or no way (no matter how bad the Hyland way is) Silos - and each department does things differently Not very cutting edge or forward thinking for a software company Low salary compared to average Standard health, 401k, vacation benefits Management doesn't have a breadth of experience as everyone has only worked at Hyland Lots of nepotism Lots of cronyism Org structure is redundant and roles overlap No one seems to actually be in charge Everyone is busy, yet everyone has time to play volleyball in the middle of the day Constantly kids running around the place Inconsistent polices - some people are allowed to work from home while others aren't. No real rhyme or reason outside of manager preference. PMOs and Centers of Excellence in name only

Pros

Safe, clean environment. Free parking. Supervisors are generally respectful, understanding people. Onsite diners with satisfactory food. Good benefits and a wide array of perks. Satisfactory focus on work-life balance.

Cons

Tight knit groups of managers and subordinates with closely guarded, secret information to maintain power and control. There is too broad of a range of salaries within a single position allegedly and reportedly. These two things combined are toxic and demoralizing.
