Pros

If you are just coming out of college with a bachelors degree, ICF has many opportunities in the IT, Digital Marketing, and Humanity fields.

Cons

If you don't have a bachelors degree, it is hard to move up. Also ICF keeps downsizing to streamline operations and pay off loans from all the companies they bought out.

It’s actually not hard to move within the company without a degree but it really relies on results and demonstrated skills. In addressing your concern about downsizing: ICF continues to grow year over year and diversify the way the organization looks. As a results we have gotten out of certain markets.

Chances to move up if you work hard, good pay

Cons

Hard to move up if you dont make friends with the right people....near the end of the year and the beginning of every year the work is low and hours are cut for a few weeks

smart young colleagues decent benefits and o.k. pay

Cons

horrible work life balance. absolutely nightmarish. horribly incompetent middle management. entrenched older managers who are inefficient and value "face time" pay is below industry average unless you very firmly negotiate and know what your floor is I implore you to leave after 1 year (I quit after 7 months) at the first opportunity you get a better job, unless ICF addresses all the above and other cons for you.
