Nice environment but not smart to stay too long.

Pros

-Good work life balance. -People are friendly, pretty young company for the most part except for senior management. -Decent benefits and some nice perks. -Work day is pretty relaxed. Full hour for lunch and not a lot of micromanagement. -Close to train.

Cons

-Pay is pretty low compared to similar positions elsewhere. -Growth opportunities are limited and seem to be based more on longevity than merit. -Doesnt feel like you're gaining a lot of useful skills. Lots of time to waste doing nothing. -No tuition reimbursement.

Low pay, poor benefits

Pros

Some kind people in the mix. 401k matching. Off the week between Christmas and New Years.

Cons

Terrible base salary (which is why they target people right out of college who still live at home). Poor benefits (18 days for vacation and sick time). 5 days in the office while all the other agencies/vendors/clients you're on calls with are at home. Lots of unhealthy competition between coworkers is fueled by managers. Managers don't know your workload and will write your reviews based on how much they like you (advancement will not be based on merit). Had a lower manager tell us we needed to (insert profanity) to get ahead. Old systems and poor measurement capabilities, which is critical in the industry. Tons of nepotism. Strict dress code. Very open office where everyone can see you and what you're working on at all times - no privacy. Small bathrooms with limited stalls - frequent lines to use them. Instead of promotions, they'll give you 'bigger desks'. If you work late, they'll think you're slow or bad at your job. If you don't work late and push something off to tomorrow, they'll say you're bad at time management or should've stayed late. There is no winning. If you tell them you have too much work on your plate, they'll think you aren't capable enough. CEO thinks WFH = not working. Summer Fridays are WFH Fridays, i.e. not actual Summer Fridays. Beware the misleading job listings - there's a reason they use words like 'generous' and 'competitive' instead of listing the actual salaries and benefits.
