Pros

Getting to go out with clients to different events and dinners. They have training.

Cons

They do not treat people coming over from the outside fairly, only the people who work their way up internally. There is a person in charge of a file everyone works out of who picks and chooses his favorites and makes the rest feel like an outcast. There is absolutely no communication if there is an issue how you are doing your job. Everyone will negatively talk about that person rather than help. There is a manager there who has an unacceptable attitude and will tell you you can't do the job without offering help. No sense of team spirit.

A unique, entrepreneurial place to work!

Pros

ICON is the most unique place I have ever worked. The company expects their employees to manage their own business and will not micromanage you. If you are self driven, and don't want to feel like a big cog in a huge company, you should consider ICON. The company also has tremendous benefits (being a part of Omnicom helps) and supports their employees who face challenges (health, family, etc.). ICON's Greenwich, CT location definitely beats travelling into New York City for Fairfield County or Westchester County employees.

Cons

If you lack a backbone or toughness, this may not be the right place for you.

Pros

They give up and coming recent college grads a chance to build their resumes. That's about it.

Cons

Politics (HEAVY Politics), company does not deliver on promises for career growth opportunity. They play heavily on favorites. Just within the past 12 months alone, ICON has either had more employees quit or released them more than any company I've ever worked for. Just to give you an idea, I've witnessed on MORE THAN ONE OCCASION the company firing employees OVER THE PHONE WHILE THEY'RE ON VACATION. Just to give you an idea. I wouldn't be surprised if all their good reviews were just plugs from current HR people. Not to mention, at times, you're required to stay past the time you're allowed to leave without any extra compensation or overtime.
