Pros

Most co workers are great to work with. There is definitely opportunities for advancement in your career. ICW always tries to promote from within. Decent place to begin your career in claims.

Cons

Management doesn't listen to employee concerns. Depending on your position in claims and your supervisor, there is a definite problem with micromanaging. The assistants always have a backlog of work, and the responsible party would be the supervisor. When management makes a mistake they are afraid to admit where they went wrong. They just pretend that it didn't happen and keep going in the wrong direction.

Pros

The company truly values its clients and investors. ICW consistently focuses on what is right for the client as well as its shareholders. The company embraces new technology and business trends. ICW is a worthwhile place to work if one is getting his or her start in the job place or is transitioning to insurance from another field.

Cons

The focus on customers and technology is in stark contrast with any focus on employees. The company fails to realize that its employee base consists of people, as opposed to units of labor. Communication is nonexistent and the company is extremely secretive. As a result, employees are embarrassingly unaware of company goals and strategy. ICW has a very rigid atmosphere in which even the most experienced employees are intensely micromanaged. Employee performance, budget, and goals are mentioned on a near daily basis. However, conversations regarding bonuses and compensation are taboo. Breaks (lunch or otherwise) are frowned upon. Upper management has distinct social bubbles. If an employee is not connected to one of these bubbles, he or she can easily find him or herself on the outside looking in.

Located in Caramal Mountain, which is a nice location to work in San Diego!

Cons

Few of the leads/managers lack soft skills in leading team, they believe in dictatorship!
