Not much room for growth and the pay is hardly a livable wage

Underwriter goals are out of reach and the bonus structure is a joke. There is no work life balance and unless you fit into the good ole boy club, there's a good chance you will be miserable. The last time they did this just two years ago was rolling out property that within a year, they let go of the entire property team and stopped writing it. If you are new to underwriting, you may like the fact that the rating system does all of your rating and underwriting. If you are experienced, expect to have low authority levels and to have to refer 8 out of 10 quotes to mgt to sign off on. New ICW President joined in Jan 2025 and we are all hoping he can make some changes.
