      Pros

      San Diego is a great place to live. Nice suburban office location. Chairman of the Board is an excellent businessman and a good man who has contributed generously to the community.

      Cons

      I do not have the same respect for some other members of the senior management team as I have for the COB. Company seems to be dominated by IT initiatives ($$$) -- Technology is valued over experienced, knowledgeable employees. During my career at ICW, I observed several layoffs and noticed that on occasion, seasoned individuals abruptly "left employment". This may not a good place to work if you are outside the "clique".

      Casual dress code The majority of your co-workers and friendly and cool The company provides a decent amount of paid time off Good place to collect a paycheck until you find something better

      Poor and uninformed management decisions There is very little training provided to new employees Compensation is significantly lower than industry average HR department is sub par The wrong people are in upper management positions

      Reactive company with incompetent senior management

      Pros

      Nice benefits, flexible work schedules, educational grants and assistance (currently frozen), good people.

      Cons

      Senior management is reactive and disconnected with each other and with their staff. The company hires and fires on a regular basis. A lot of people get tired of the uninspiring environment and choose to leave themselves. Most employees have stories of how they were unfairly treated and the staff is constantly worried about losing their jobs because of the ongoing SAP implementation and the economy.
