Pros

Strong engineering infrastructure and solid expertise in Golang. Opportunity to work with and maintain multiple microservices in production. Modern technology stack including Couchbase, Kafka, Splunk, EMQX, Traefik, GitHub, and GitHub Actions. Exposure to distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and high-load services. Well-established development and deployment processes.

Cons

Lack of clear and transparent performance evaluation criteria. Promotion and career progression expectations were not always well communicated. Feedback was sometimes delivered in group meetings rather than in private one-on-one discussions. Communication style could occasionally feel overly critical in public settings.

Thank you for sharing your feedback following your time as a Golang Engineer in Minsk. We are glad you found value in our engineering infrastructure, modern tech stack, and high-load production environments. We appreciate your feedback regarding our communication style and evaluation processes. Constructive feedback should always empower our engineers, and a lack of clear progression criteria does not align with the culture we strive to build. We take your comments seriously and will be sharing them with our engineering leadership to improve how we may be able to handle 1-1s, performance reviews, and team communication. We wish you the best in your next role. If you have more scpecific feedback that you will be willing to share please email humanresources@idt.net
