Pros

tuition assents, friendly work environment, and yearly holiday presents.

Cons

When they bring in mangers who have never worked for an IKEA they don't understand the IKEA culture. Its seems that some upper management hire female mangers based on what they look like and not there qualifications.

Pros

For retail, IKEA has the best value for your money. Working shifts are flexible. Management pays better. You create your own schedule.

Cons

Some managers abuse the flexible scheduling. Can't tell you how many weekends where there were only a couple of managers in the store. Each store has its own HR staff which is a plus and a minus, when dealing with performance issues. The self checkout leads to more loss for the store. Advancement is limited due to the fact there aren't as many stores.
