Pros

I was pretty much left alone at all times and had the entire mailroom to myself, and rarely more than an hour or two of work a day.

Cons

Despite having little to do, I was required to be there 7:30-4:30 every day. The company I was at filtered their internet access so I couldn't check my email or work on any other personal correspondence. There was really little room for growth besides taking the "online classes" that they offered on their intranet site. Most of these classes were a waste of time for those of us with elementary computer skills, so what should have taken a week was finished in about 20 minutes.

Pros

Good way to gain business to business sales experience the training us to be good for new hires. With budget cuts it is not what it once was.

Cons

politics, favortism, poor HR policies, managers can pretty much get away with anything
