what were the best reasons to work for IKON should be the question. we had a variety of products and several other services we could provide customers. we were different from other copier companies because our strategy was trying to make a difference between us and the japanese compaines making our product

Cons

we have now become a distribution arm for a japanese manufacturer and all they are interested in is moving hardware product at low prices as compared to maintaining the levels of profitability that ikon had always had in the past. nobody cares any longer. most upper management made alot of money on the stock and dont even work anymore

Pros

Good promotion oppportunities, friendly people and a large degree of empowerment.

Cons

The customer is 'always right' - even when they're not. They ask you to do many things that you're not trained to do and definitely don't get compensated to do - i.e. sell products to customers and get leads for the sales reps.

The people are by far what makes IKON a great place to work. It is unfortunate that management does not promote the good people.

Cons

It is like working on a used car sales lot at time... no offense to used car sales people, but some of the selling techniques are rather unprofessional.
