Shady business practices

Pros

They give you ESOP options which are less volatile than the market

Cons

IMEG will talk you into purchasing stock and then lay you off. I was granted shares by the previous owner. Money came from the owner to IMEG and all i had to do was match the amount to buy into the associate principal level. I was assured that if I proceeded with this, i would not be laid off. However, a couple months later, they laid me off and kept the money from the CEO It seems like extremely shady business practices. Not only did they lie, but then they wouldn't give me the shares. So basically they stole money. Also, when they acquire a company, they assure them that they will have autonomy. That is a flat out lie. They change your entire work culture, lay a ton of people off with no respect or consideration for all the years of hard work, they put into that firm before they acquired them.

Not the right firm

Pros

I enjoyed the working environment and the people I worked with.

Cons

One area that stands out is employee compensation. Despite the enjoyable working environment, the pay is low compared to industry standards. This can make it difficult for employees to feel fully recognized and appreciated for their work. Additionally, low pay can make it difficult for employees to stay motivated and engaged in their work. Another con is employee development. While the company does provide some opportunities for training and development, these are not always well-organized or well-supported. This can leave employees feeling unprepared for new challenges or opportunities. The final con is creativity and innovation. It seems the most innovative people have left the company. The company lacks innovative leaders in all areas of the company. This is disappointing given the size of the company and all that it talks about being thought leaders and innovators.

Pros

Salary is fair and travel is reasonable

Cons

Terrible policies and procedures. Company is ran like a 1960’s-1970’s organization. Came from a very progressive and innovative large organization and was sold a story that imeg was “innovative”. This company is so backward and old school it’s almost comical.
