Hometown hospital.....with hometown pay.
Pros
Integris is a great hospital that focuses on family values. I've worked alongside mother-daughter duos, as well as husband & wife. They have an on-campus daycare & give a way a turkey around the holidays. I think that says a lot when people are willing to share their personal lives with their coworkers. Integris has that hometown hospital vibe where everyone knows everyone. Mostly because that's just what it is!
Cons
Every department is different, but based on my experience my biggest con is the pay & lack of professional development. I took a paycut to work at Integris & after a year I had only received a 56 cent raise. This forces staff members to pick up side gigs or leave the company altogether like I did. Also, if you're a registered nurse there are no workshops, conventions, mentorships, or assistance with certifications that Integris offers. This leaves you stagnant in your career. There's also no incentive for obtaining this. Yes, they have a clinical pathway program, but the time commitment to complete that is not equivalent to the payout they're offering. It was a difficult decision for me to leave, but my career skyrocketed when I did.
