Abusive, backstabbing, nepotism, unfair management

Pros

The people, vision and purpose, and the science are all amazing. My interview was smooth and I knew what to expect. I really felt like they cared about my experience and were looking for the "right fit" for both.

Cons

So far, not too much of normal "politics". I know it exists everywhere, but it doesn't seem as pervasive.

Pros

Nice office, good benefits, coworkers are friendly to each other.

Cons

No planning from leadership regarding strategy and operation. If there is one in place, then management needs to communicate and share as teams can not contribute without knowing what is required from them and what is the big picture. (“We strive to be the best in class company in the world” does not help much as it is too empty. ) Changes are communicated last minute without stakeholders engagement and alignment. Due to the lack of plan and communication, time and resources are wasted on repetitive meetings with no clearly defined agenda and outcomes; individuals’ job descriptions are changing on a bi-weekly basis; people are held accountable for not delivering the extra projects that are not even within their scope of work and the extra projects are competing with the actual responsibilities. Solutions for systematic issues are to replace the employees and blame them for everything.
