Pros

The employees, central Manchester location, set 9-5 hours never end up staying late.

Cons

Unrealistic targets. Lack of real training. Huge lack in communication, in fact non existent. Awful systems and processes as well as outdated office equipment. The phone lines and internal CRM break on what seems a weekly basis and can be off for hours. Lied to by management about targets and incentives which are reached and changed. Leads removed mid month but still targeted without being told why. Culture has been ripped from the environment. It used to be good, the people (sales team) kept me from leaving sooner.

Pros

Even though a lot of people are leaving, there are still some good people there. Additionally the work/life balance is relatively good and you'll get to finish work on time most days.

Cons

I've never known a company more on a downward slide than IRIS, particularly the HCM Division. They're losing staff at a ridiculous rate, with at least 3 people a month from Sales leaving, and a 100% staff turnover level in Marketing compared to about 6 months ago. Sales people simply don't want to work in an environment where commission is not achievable due to targets which are not doable (in November 2017 only ONE PERSON in Sales hit target...) Marketing don't want to work for a company where Sales come first no matter what, and have more of a say in Marketing campaigns that they do. Sales literally tell Marketing how to do their job which I'm sure explains everyone jumping ship to more modern-thinking companies. Marketing are not creative and use the same offers for months on end, to the point where customers had no benefit taking advantage of an offer because they knew it would be on again a few weeks later. It's got to the stage now where there's a real toxic atmosphere in the Faulkner House office, with management literally emailing the Sales team telling them to tell 15 minute lunches so they're back on the phones sooner when they're having a particularly bad day. Additionally the HCM Senior Management Team are some of the rudest, most unapproachable people I've ever shared an office with, and Sales in particular being awful, although they've recently brought back an old Director to keep an eye on everything. Maybe things are changing, but by time they do, everyone who adds value to the HCM Division will have left.

Pros

You get a phone and a pc during work hours

Cons

Where do I start?! - Ridicoulous levels of micromanagement - Egos the size of the Earth - Director sat in their office everyday doing absolutely nothing - Total disregard for employee wellbeing - Actively being encouraged to lie to customers to buy - Managers turning a blind eye to illicit practices (sometimes even encouraging it) - A sieve would probably have a higher staff retention - Did I already mention micromanagement? - Hypocrisy is rife. There seems to be no standardisation for procedures - There is a manager that walks around yelling profanities at anybody and everyone. Probably didn't get enough attention as a child. - Micromanagement - Go with Sage If that doesn't ward you off, nothing will
