Pros

From my experience of Iris & feedback from other employees & Clients I have nothing really positive to say about them!

Cons

Since being Iris have destroyed Dataplan in Grimsby! Dataplan was a thriving, successful & highly regarded business with a great reputation. Then Dataplan by Iris happened! Despite being advised by long term, highly experienced employees what they were implementing & how they were going about it was just not going to be a positive move for the business they pursued to do things 'their way'! Not fit for purpose software was brought in & Clients migrated over with no consultation. Migration, which was completed by other Teams within the Iris group was / is appalling & the Dataplan teams were left to try & managed all the Client complaints & answer all their questions which we struggled with as we didn't know the answers & felt very aggrieved at being put in this position. The standard of customer service & satisfaction nosed dived because of this & the fact that due to the toxic working regime that was thrust upon us so many of seasoned & highly experienced staff have left. There are now more staff with less than a years experience than there are fully trained & experienced staff! I cannot blame the huge amount of Clients that are taking their business elsewhere & I only wish they knew the original Dataplan teams are so very frustrated at not being given the tools & support to do what they do best! Shame on Iris for what they have done & continue to do!

Pros

There are loads of opportunities to work across the different parts of the business - I personally have moved from finance into operations and have enjoyed the challenge in doing this that would have previously been outside my comfort zone. The support I have received has been brilliant, and there is always an open ear when you want to bounce ideas off different people across the business. The people at IRIS are what makes it a great and fun place to work. Being a customer centric busines, the customer is at the heart of everything we do - however the Exco team understand the importance of what our people play in making that happen. Over the last 12 months, some amazing initiatives have been launched for our people such at the 'Made in IRIS CEO award' where all employees can pitch business ideas to the exec team. We have also launched IRIS TV where you can get updated on what is going on around the business.

Cons

Nothing stands still at IRIS and that fast paced nature is not for everyone, however I would say if you're willing to push yourself then the support network is brilliant.

We have indeed launched some great initiatives in the recent months, including the Made in IRIS CEO Award. This award gives the opportunity for our employees to put their business-savvy skills to use to put together a proposal for a business idea. The winning idea will then receive funding to make their dream a reality. Other internal initiatives such as the High Potential Programme have also been implemented to give our employees opportunities to progress and develop their careers with us. We understand that IRIS is a very fast-moving business and thus our employees work very hard to ensure our customers get a fantastic service every time, and to make sure IRIS is able to keep up with the industry and offer the very best products. We make sure our employees have plenty of support from management, and via our MyIRIS Benefits page, where they can access financial, mental and physical wellbeing resources. We make sure to encourage a healthy work-life balance and we have a variety of different reward and recognition schemes, such as IMPACT awards, Top Talent, Thank You Thursdays and IRIS Heroes. Pros

Growth potential of the business (despite the uncertain times!) Salary and earning potential Strategic direction that the company is taking Engaged board who seem both people and business focussed The people! Great set of colleagues all striving towards the same goals

Cons

Busy diaries! We do have a lot of calls but that (like most places) is driven by remote working currently. Thankfully the technology is in place to support this
