Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I am particularly interested to know more about "terrible inter communication." We are working diligently on communicating more effectively to the field through official update emails, but we know there are other issues too. If you would be willing to email me (marisa.grimmius@imaginelearning.com) with specific communication pain points, I would be very grateful. The Great Place to Work Committee will be discussing communications at their next meeting in a few weeks. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Pros

Imagine Learning is a wonderful company. I've been with the company for several years now and I've been extremely well taken care of. The best part of IL is the company mission and values. They are written on the walls of the building and I've noticed that the employees exude the values. The culture is fun and inviting. It feels a lot like a big family. The compensation is more than fair for the marketplace and more importantly the feeling here is that people want to be here because they are involved in something significant, meaningful, and worthwhile. You can support another antivirus software or you can support a product that is making a positive difference in the lives of children around the world by teaching them critical language and literacy skills. There is a huge pantry full of snacks and treats to eat to keep you energized. Being in the field was great because of the autonomy that you have. You can plan you day according to what is most important for the schools that you support. The managers were fair in their expectations of accountability for your work. Interfacing with principals and teachers is a rewarding experience but the best part is seeing the children as they use the program.

Cons

The miles in the car and windshield time gets old from time to time. Fortunately the company is investing in technologies that will alleviate some of the travel time by providing an easy way to interface digitally. It can be a little lonely at times out on the road and you can often feel like your own island. Your peers and manager are collaborating with you often so that can help.

Pros

I enjoy working for Imagine Learning. The people are friendly and the mission is something to feel good about.

Cons

Things have changed since the change in ownership. More of a formal business feel as opposed to a family operation. It comes with growth, but I miss the feeling of being in a family business.

Thanks for your feedback. Others have asked for a better 401K match too, so we'll see if this is something the executives want to take a look at.
