Pros

Software engineering leadership successfully handles their time to allow for process improvements and individual employees improvements

Cons

Two big issues. 1) Imagine Learning overestimated their customer demand after covid. Their tools just aren't as useful or wanted when Teachers aren't forced to be at home and districts are desperate for software. 2)The culture environment from the very top of engineering leadership down encourages hubristic attitudes. The louder and more obnoxious you "self identify" your intelligence, the more you appear as a good employee. The more senior developers are proud of their pedanticism and will say as much. Meetings often ended up the worst offenders trying to talk the loudest. If you did not participate in the hubristic ways you considered as not contributing.
