Pros

Flexibility. Other case managers are friendly.

Cons

Very low pay compared to other CCB's. Lots of beurocracy, business, and red tape. Upper management treats employees as though they're expendable (mission statement says they value their workforce), Lots of micro managing and expectations that are impossible to achieve. Case loads are low but, amount of work you're expected to accomplish is outlandish, defeats having low caseloads.

Pros

Help those with disabilities fulfill their lives, satisfying job overall. Lots of community involvement Good benefits, even for gym and bus pass Would get a higher rating but (see cons)

Cons

Low pay for the amount of work you put in, high turnover rate. Not many opportunities to move up in the company especially when you start as a residential counselor. More support for morale in the "in the trenches" positions Hours range from place to place within the company, typically the office positions have the best hours and work environment.

Pros

Passionate coworkers who genuinely care about the people they support. Flexible work schedule for some roles. Creative freedom in certain positions to design impactful programming. Strong focus on inclusion and serving individuals with developmental disabilities.

Cons

Lack of communication and transparency from leadership. Decisions impacting departments are often made without input from the people doing the work. Frequent organizational changes without clear direction can leave staff feeling unsettled. Pay is not competitive for the cost of living in Colorado, especially for frontline staff. Over-reliance on a small number of employees to carry heavy workloads.
