Pros

Non nepotism hires are the best coworkers I have had in years and made the year I was here worth the commute.

Cons

- Your benefits offered here can be easily beaten by other companies that have similar product pipelines. - Pay is not competitive at all as they can be easily outpaced by competitors and they expect employees to work 60+ hour work weeks in many departments. - Company is plagued by nepotism hires and most are placed in high up positions that result in a toxic work culture. For example the Quality Control department is being filled at the higher levels with managers unskilled in GMP while the company faces a lawsuit surrounding their BLA for lack of adherence to GMP and other government standards. This is very true in the QC Analytical team with Senior level and Management positions being stacked as a yes men for another Associate Director to try and become a director as his team is more or less justifying the lawsuit currently against the company. - Due to nepotism hires, there is no upward advancement and people who are unqualified for the position they are in result in work being spilled over to those beneath them. Essentially you end up doing the work for a higher position to burn yourself out. - Management does not care about employee well being and mental health as they will wait until things become an “emergency” especially things surrounding the FDA demands when their dwindling workforce becomes burnt out. - Workforce is very small for how large the company is globally (claims to be a startup when it has about 9-10 sites globally). Product pipelines do not match the size of the workforce that is at the company. - Many contract firms will recommend this company as well only to have their pockets lined with cash like Biophase. These result in many skilled people being placed into positions beneath their skill levels only to be dismissed to lack of capital and resources. This results in high turnover and the company pipelines being lacking or unable to meet their own deadlines.
