Good company, generally nice people, but a lot of politics involved in decision making.

Pros

The work is generally interesting, the company is stable, the HR department insists on bringing in only nice people, there are several corporate fun activities per year.

Cons

The technologies used in R&D tend to be somewhat outdated. It is very hard to get a promotion, sometimes the management prefers to bring in new managers from outside rather than promote people from inside. There is a poor discussion culture, people tend to pay attention to the most assertive and loud speaker and ignore speakers who refuse to force their opinion in. Some people benefited from the IPO, but other than that there are no bonuses for hard working employees.

Pros

The company is upwards mobile, and it works in a very hot industry. The efforts are sometimes rewarded, and we do the best job in protecting customers.

Cons

There is too much office politics. There's no clear guidance on the vision and direction that the company should take, and for some employees the compensation leaves a lot to be desired.

CEO well-recognized in InfoSec space. Has taken a company IPO before. CEO is a very forward thinker. Really defined a new area in InfoSec. Nice office, free snacks. Encourage coworkers to mingle via monthly company catered lunches, holiday party, etc.

Cons

Too much work, not enough people = LONG HOURS. Boys club, unprofessional work environment. Favoritism.
