Pros

If you keep a low profile you can work here as much or little as you like and have a have a relatively comfortable life.

Cons

Leadership consist of people not willing or capable to make decisions. Vision consists of "me too" phrases, a random walk from digital life to what was last shared as a vision of chained custody of an item. The company is far, if not years behind with the execution on any of these visions. The current software product has little value in the global market and ecosystem. The leadership lately believes it can drive proprietary solutions in a move to protect its business instead of winning through quality, performance and being customer centric. The internal say 'yes to a customer' is not lived and battles to keep things moving take all your cycles. The COO is hopelessly lost, the CEO should be focusing on silicon engineering and have competent leadership manage the business.

Not the best place to work as an engineer

Pros

-state-of-the-art building -free snacks and drinks -smart and nice people

Cons

- No 401K match - Little to no performance review. Underachievers seem to be given a free pass as long as they’re part of the ‘in’ crowd or suck up to management - Very little directive in sticking to and hitting project milestones - but because of the lack of performance feedback, there’s not much incentive for employees to stay those extra hours when needed and hit those milestones - Project management is disorganized, and a lot of responsibility falls on individual accountability - There’s an ‘us’ vs ‘them’ disconnect between engineering/sales and HR - Lack of accountability from senior executives - Line management/process-inflexibility of a large company, but the number of employees of a small company. There’s a lot of process overhead, but the company isn’t at that point yet in terms of size or revenue

Unfocused and toxic management

Pros

Unlimited PTO, Free soda and snacks, Nice office with views of Lake Union and the Space Needle, Free bagels on Friday mornings

Cons

Management is unfocused and is extremely political. Good luck having conversations with management that are open and honest. Toxic culture, with lots of backstabbing, passive aggressive behavior, and many managers who do not take their responsibilities seriously. Performance management is non-existent. Many road blocks are in the way to effectively get work done. Some people guard their way of doing things as the best or only way.
