Toxic political mess of a workplace

Pros

Pleasant new building in South Lake Union. Unlimited time off, though some people abuse it.

Cons

This is the most toxic and unprofessional company that I have ever worked for. I am in an engineering role but have experienced constant political games, back-stabbing, passive-aggressive behavior, good old boys clubs, rude and ridiculous behavior. It is often hard to get the job done while juggling emotional drama and political push-back on every decision. The management is a combination of inexperienced or checked-out, HR does nothing to stop the unprofessional behavior, and there is no clear vision from top down.

Pros

They have free snacks. Unlimited vacation although it is not really unlimited.

Cons

Terrible place to work. Very toxic environment. They are to bogged down with process to actually get things out the door. Some not all Directors are very poor, they do not know how to manage people or get projects done. They have been hiring people that are not qualified as Sr. Executives. Have seen mass exodus of executives which should be a big clue to anyone coming in. Company is ripe for a take over.

Pros

Unlimited time off if you're getting your work done. Laid back.

Cons

Management (typically not upper management, but middle management) seems less likely to propagate job relevant information from the top level decisions down to you. Your choices are drink from the unfiltered firehose of management decisions or wait for decisions to impact you after the fact.
