Not the best place to work as an engineer
Pros
-state-of-the-art building -free snacks and drinks -smart and nice people
Cons
- No 401K match - Little to no performance review. Underachievers seem to be given a free pass as long as they’re part of the ‘in’ crowd or suck up to management - Very little directive in sticking to and hitting project milestones - but because of the lack of performance feedback, there’s not much incentive for employees to stay those extra hours when needed and hit those milestones - Project management is disorganized, and a lot of responsibility falls on individual accountability - There’s an ‘us’ vs ‘them’ disconnect between engineering/sales and HR - Lack of accountability from senior executives - Line management/process-inflexibility of a large company, but the number of employees of a small company. There’s a lot of process overhead, but the company isn’t at that point yet in terms of size or revenue
