Pros

They offer huge salaries and make you feel valued during the interview process. If they offer huge salaries - consider why, because I feel like it was to overcompensate for their dysfunction internally!

Cons

From Day #1 - what a joke. Literally thought I was on an episode of punked. In my first week, nobody spoke to me, reached out to me or helped me onboard. I took the initiative to meet my colleagues and there was one common theme - they were miserable and unhappy.

Pros

Very low expectations = job security

Cons

Company is large and moves slowly. Don't expect to have a large impact. You'll be forced to work with awfully outdated and messy data.

Fine place to work

Pros

Software that pays roughly industry expectation. Most of the people I worked with directly were awesome. Direct supervisors within Engineering are good at what they do and seem to genuinely have the interests of the department in their heats.

Cons

"Agile" fake scrum development cycle. Basically does waterfall development (which is the better option here) but with needless new-age micromeetings and planning scattered in to disrupt work. HR isn't interested in actually handling interpersonal conflicts or harassment allegations against senior management. Upper management loves to ask you questions that they've already decided the answers to, almost as a formality. Instead of giving you a deadline and asking what can be made in that time-frame, they ask how long X will take, then ask after you do the research work whether you can do it in half the time to meet a deadline they didn't tell you about.
