Pros

Colleagues were awesome, good benefits, unlimited PTO

Cons

It all depends on the team, the team I was on was not the best. -There was way too much favoritism. -Many false promises and lies from management. -Management cares nothing about you if you are not in the small buddy group

Pros

Great company to work for would recommend to anyone. Transparent environment where ideas are welcome and hard work is rewarded over time.

Cons

In some aspects the company is still transitioning from a small to a medium sized business and has a few teething problems because of that, company wide communication and processes can be fractured at times between HQ and satellite offices.

Marketing and Sales focused company.

Pros

Imprivata has a strong flagship product that produces excellent revenue. Imprivata excels at marketing to its customers and the healthcare industry. It is well positioned to build upon its brand and expand its business as an IT security provider that ‘gets’ healthcare. The company isn’t in any danger of closing up or collapsing anytime soon. HR has been criticized in other reviews, but they are functional and professional.

Cons

Imprivata is a sales and marketing focused company. Leadership favors vocal extroverts with strong personalities that can up-sell and promote their own contributions. Introverts and quieter individuals are repeatedly overlooked and undervalued in the organization. Politics and alliances are essential to getting promoted. Compensation is consistently under-market for top-tier technical talent. A strong ‘fear of public failure’ culture hampers risk-taking and innovation. Fire-drills occur far too frequently -- a result of letting long-standing structural problems fester and under resourcing back office and r&d teams.

Thank you for this feedback. We are sorry to hear that you had some negative experiences at Imprivata. One of our core cultural tenants is to “speak up, and have a voice”. We encourage all employees through whatever means they are comfortable with to not shy away from voicing their opinions or concerns. We value all types of personalities and I am sorry to hear you feel that only “extroverts” our rewarded here. I am happy to discuss your points, please feel free to reach out to me.
