Pros

It used enough to be cliché, but in the end it’s true—it’s all about the people. To quote Leslie Knope quoting Teddy Roosevelt: “Far and away the best prize that life has to offer is a chance to work hard at work worth doing.” Best yet, if you get to do it with great people. Let’s face it, in most cases, work is where one spends the majority of their waking hours. T’is a shame not to spend those hours with talented, kind people who aim to do work that matters. At Grand Rounds, I feel I’ve found my team, and the mission I most want to pursue through our collective efforts. Other notable pros: healthy, in-all-directions communication flow; substantive female representation and leadership at all levels; a fast-paced and smart risk-tolerant environment that enables everyday progress.

Cons

As with any company at our stage and pace of growth, role clarity can be a challenge and we can shy away from establishing structure and eliminating confusion for fear it will stymie creativity and entrepreneurialism. We have some great examples of embracing a flexible environment—our SF and Reno collaboration, e.g. I’d like to see more in this area. It can be a key lever as we grow and continue to seek the best, brightest most diverse workforce the market has to offer.

Feedback is a gift, so thank you for taking the time to give it. At the heart of any successful venture is an A+ team (passion, talent, culture), and I couldn't be prouder of the Grand Rounds team and the zeal with which everyone pursues the mission. I'm glad to have you as part of it and hope you will keep bringing helpful suggestions forward. We can do always do better, and re: listening, what's that saying? "We were born with two ears and one mouth for a reason.”

Pros

They are a people and customer focused company with nothing but care in their hearts. they hire people that fit the Grand Rounds culture and in doing so keep their employees. It is a place to learn and grow and be part of something new and exciting "changing the world of healthcare."

Cons

Because it is a Start up things can move a little slow at times, but patience is important in the work industry.

Pros

Grand Rounds embodies the values, meaningful work and intellectual curiosity that drew me to a career in Medicine. Grand Rounds is taking health care to a whole new level and I love the positive impact I can have on our patient's lives. I have never experienced such a positive, collaborative and brilliant environment. Genuinely shared values where patient care comes first sets the tone in all of our interactions. I am so grateful to be part of this company and eager to watch our future unfold.

Cons

I honestly have no "cons" to mention, except it IS hard to stop thinking about work because I am so inspired.

Feedback is a gift, so thank you for taking the time to give it. Your kind words regarding this company we are all building together are truly appreciated. I'm glad we can play a small role in enabling medical practice as you originally envisioned. I'm especially grateful for the patient impact you and our entire care team make happen each day. Thanks for the inspiration and enthusiasm you clearly bring to what is hard, but incredibly worthwhile work.
