Over run with consultants

Pros

The company is a great location and the associates are great people who are passionate about the work and the customers.

Cons

The company has focused more on profits and growth over serving the community which is a big cultural change from the original mission. As result layoffs during 2008 and 2009 demanded more work for less people and as economy has improved the staff levels have remained the same while the number of consultants and contractors has increased. IBC employees now serve the consultants instead of consultants serving the employees. Senior management is very close with the consultants which raises a whole host of ethical issues. Burnout is high among the associates. It is not uncommon to be on call seven days a week and if provided with a company phone, emails and texts are expected to be answered at night, weekends and when on vacation. There is no mental downtime. Once in the door pay raises are minimal. The maximum is about 2% if one gets that at all. Bonuses are decent for managers and above but not for the non-management associates. The executives make out like bandits which is evident in the executive parking area.

Pros

Work environment was wonderful, loved my coworkers as family.

Cons

Pay low and a lot of nepotism going on within. Unfair tactics used to control employees moral. Not a place to grow career wise. Low pay!

WAS a great place to work.

Pros

Best reasons to work there are (some of) the people. There are good and bad employees everywhere, but the good ones really make it a nice place to work.

Cons

Outsourcing. A lot of the previously mentioned good people were outsourced and replaced with people who didn't know nearly as much. The more they outsourced, the worse it became. Also, unless you know someone, forget about being promoted from within.
