Pros

Large company, ok benefits (not as good as you would think considering they are a health insurer), the atmosphere really depends on the department

Cons

Right now the company is going through a consolidation, so it may or may not be as stable as before. The way you are treated varies WILDLY from department to department, although there are written HR rules, they are not followed for everyone. The benefits are good, but expensive.

job security - great place to make a pit stop if you're unemployed - then move on

Cons

culture is totally behind the times - totally inefficient - worst HR department ever
