You are working with developmentally disabled adults ranging from very high funcitioning to schitzophrenic and very low functioning. Every day is different, you basically make your own schedule.

Cons

Your schedule changes daily based on client's needs and wants. You will use a lot of gas, driving clients to all appointments, shopping, etc. and this is hardly reimbursed (a small monthly stippend). Some clients will call you for every little thing that happens, though you are not required to answer their calls at odd hours.

Very lengthy and thorough training process.

Cons

It is fairly new in California and hiccups do occur but its a fast growing company and it comes with the territory.
